  1. I read the interview with Caitlin White and enjoyed your thoughts.

    I had not considered doing a character interview. I can see your point that it could come out contrived, though I think in some circumstances it could be great fun and very useful, depending.

    It reminds me of a similar practice I have tried in the past, where I found resolution for old interpersonal conflicts by imagining a conversation between the others involved and myself.

    Often, it seems, good writing is just a matter of letting things out the way they want to come out, without trying to make it appear any particular way — which seems to be the gist of some of your commentary here. Have a plan, but also let go. I agree with Donna — inspiring!
